SOFT CONTACT LENSES
SPECIALTY CONTACT LENSES
CONTACTS ARE FOR EVERYONE!
Today’s contact lens technology is amazing and we have lenses available for every type of prescription from basic to specialty lenses.
A few of the contact lenses prescription types that we can address with contact lenses include:
- Myopia (near sightedness)
- Hyperopia (far sightedness)
- Astigmatism (an imperfection in the corneal curvature that causes blur)
- Presbyopia (normal loss of focusing ability for reading caused by age)
LENS TYPES:
Soft contact lenses
Soft contact lenses come in a variety of materials and replacement schedules. Daily lenses are our #1 recommendation! Many patients consider them the best contact lenses because they are safe and so easy to handle. No cleaning is required because they are fresh and new each day. Central Pennsylvania is notorious for seasonal allergies and daily lenses help wearers to continue to enjoy contact lens wear all year long. Daily lenses are also great for tough work environments that are dry and/or dusty.
Rigid Gas Permeable Contact Lenses (RGP contact lenses)
Rigid lenses are also a great option for patients. They provide a clear vision and can accommodate many different prescription types. They are easy to insert and remove and are cost-effective. We fit single-vision as well as bifocal and multifocal rigid prescription contact lenses.
Specialty Lenses
Some medical conditions such as keratoconus necessitate specialty contact lenses. We have many options for custom fits such as scleral lenses, hybrid lenses, and more. Please call with any specific questions on lens types that may be available for various visual and medical needs, as determined by your contact lenses prescription.
